A Tax Hike Is A Tax Hike. Period. Nov. 17/10

I was listening to a radio interview of a Miami Dade Commissioner who angrily told a reporter that she didn’t vote for a property tax increase. She claims she voted for a “rollback.”

Then I spoke to Heriberto, a municipal worker who told me that his property tax bill this year was almost seven hundred dollars higher than last year’s.

What is that Miami Dade Commissioner talking about?

If your property tax is seven hundred bucks  or even only a penny higher than last year’s, you’ve been hit with a property tax hike.

Calling that a rollback is Orwellian.

End of story.
