Warning

I was warned not to meddle

but I'm weak

it's very difficult for me to resist the impulse

so now I'm dealing with these debts that I never incurred including parking tickets

and long distance calls I can't recall making

unless they were made during a confused dream

I do, however, have a vivid memory of

her eyes

even though her back was turned

and it was an extremely warm august afternoon.
